2015 BHM LAUREATE

24TH EDITION OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Montreal, January 21st, 2015 – We all need role models – people that inspire us to outdo ourselves. The Round Table on Black History Month shares profiles of people within Black communities who, through their accomplishments, have had a remarkable impact on Quebec society.

Often working in the shadows, these women and men have avoided potential pitfalls – through their uncommon devotion, determination and passion – until they finally reached their dreams. The Round Table on Black History Month is keen to pay tribute to such individuals by letting others know about their varied accomplishments.

RIP THE RUNWAY

Fashion for a Cause Montreal is a non-profit association of professionals who join forces each year to raise awareness and funds to support a range of diseases that impact our community. For the fourth year in a row, Fashion for a Cause Montreal will be raising money through its annual Rip the Runway fundraising event with a focus on Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

Rip the Runway will take place on Saturday, October 10th at 8:30pm (showtime) at the T.M.R. Schofield Hall. Breakfast Television’s Catherine Verdon-Diamond, Rickey D Events, and 2015 Black History Month Laureate, Ricardo Daley, will be hosting this glamorous evening filled with fashion and live performances for an incredible cause<< READ FULL ARTICLE ON MONTREAL.COM >>
